Palmerston Senior College provides students and parents with three formal reports each semester. These reports when read together provide details on student progress and suggestions for improvement. The three reports are:
- Interim Report – completed in Week 5 of Terms 1 and 3 and sent home with students on the Monday of Week 6. These reports early concerns and are can be used as the basis for discussion at our ‘Meet the Teachers’ afternoon on the Wednesday of Week 6 each semester.
- Progress Report – these are completed at the end of Terms 1 and 3 and sent home to parents in the mail. These reports provide progress grades and ratings against attributes like: attendance; attitude; participation; and work submission.
- Final Reports – these reports are completed at the end of Term 2 and 4 and are sent home to parents in the mail. These reports provide: a subject description; the final subject grade; attribute ratings; and a comment from the class teacher.
NOTE: There is no Term 4 report issued to Year 12 students. They receive their final grades from the NT Department of Education and the SACE Board in mid-December.
The school also uses a wide range of systems to monitor student progress and can provide additional information to parents when requested.
